oval form, the pull-off cover with the arms of Curzon impaling Colyear, within a border of bright-cut foliate scrolls and medallions, the sides with engraved swags, length 12.6cm, approx. weight 7.5oz.

Provenance: A Private Collection.
Purchased at Christie's New York, Important Silver and Objects of Vertu, 21 April 1998, lot 207.

The arms are those of Curzon impaling Colyear, for Nathaniel, 1st Baron Scarsdale (1726-1804).
