By Roger Doyle, a silver goblet,

tapering circular bowl, spot-hammered decoration, on a raised tapering circular foot, the interior gilded, inscribed, 'Anthony Evelyn 7.3.84', in a suede lined fitted case, height 19.3cm, approx. weight 16.7cm.
Roger Doyle, (b.1947), undertook a pre- apprentice course at The Central School of Arts and Crafts in 1962. He went on to be an apprentice at Cartier from 1963-8, before setting up on his own as a silversmith, jeweller and clockmaker. He has worked with Louis Osman and Michael Appleby and in the mid 1980's The Goldsmiths Company commissioned a clock from him, ref Andrew, J. and Styles, D., Designer British Silver, The Antique Collectors Club, 2015, page 513.
