A rare early Victorian gold Everpoint pencil

A rare early Victorian gold Everpoint pencil,

incuse stamped T.F, above a registration lozenge, for Thomas Freeman, Birmingham circa 1844,

modelled as Nelson's column, the slider button formed as a fouled anchor, the pencil holder modelled as Lord Nelson, screw-off base reveals a lead reservoir, and has a white matrix, the plinth engraved with four of Nelson's most famous Victories - Trafalgar, Nile, St Vincent and Copenhagen, in a fitted velvet line case, length closed 9cm, length open 12cm.
