square form, the hinged cover enamelled with a horse and carriage with a gentleman and lady, the reverse inscribed 'F.F.E' above 'From' above a crown, above 'Lonsdale', length 8.3cm, approx. weight 3.8oz.

Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale, KG, GCVO, succeeded his brother to the title in 1882.
