A George III old Sheffield plated globe inkwell,
possibly by Roberts, Cadman and Co, circa 1795,
the two-section domed cover with a push-down ball finial, opening to reveal a mounted glass inkwell and sander, and a compartment for an ivory pad, with a drape apron, on a raised circular foot, height 22cm.
Provenance: purchased from S.J.Shrubsole, Museum Street, London 21 January 1975.
