Philip II of Spain and Henri IV of France, a pair of thin silver roundels decorated in niello with portraits, probably 18th century, Philip in armoured bust left, legend around with English title, PHILIPPVS HISPANIARVM ET ANGLIÆ REX; Henri, bust right, HENRICVS IV FRANCOR REX INVICTISS PP, border of floral arches around, 71mm. The fields of both with striated surface, very fine. (2) Philip II of Spain (1527-1556-1598) and Henri IV of France (1553-1589-1610). Between 1554-1157 the name of Philip II is found on some of the coinage of Queen Mary showing his title as 'King of England'.
