An early 20th century gilt metal and silverplated gothic revival processional cross, with a staff unscrewing in three sections and surmounted by a three sided chapel structure with the cast seated, figures of a king, a Queen and a Bishop and a knop with round bosses, engraved with the individual letters "E","D", "W", "A", "R", "D", "U", "S", the crucifix with engraved depictions of the following four saints "JOANNES", "MARCUS", "LUCAS" & "MATTHEUS", the reverse cabachon set with numerous glass bosses to resemble banded agate and rock crystal, contained in a lined and fitted wooden travelling case with applied plaque, chased "HARDMAN, POWELL & CO BIRMINGHAM FECT". by Hardman & Co, Birmingham 1910-20, probably after a design by A.W.N. Pugin, 83.25in (212cm) high overall
