A George II gold mounted agate snuff box, circular with a 'dished' body, (A/F), decorated with an upper frieze of chased scrolls and enamelled flowers, and pendant ribbon festoon, the hinged cover with a shell thumbpiece, set with five stone panels each bordered by chased husks and scrolls and heightened by enamelled flowers, birds and animals, unmarked c.1740 (contained in original shagreen case), 2.25in (5.7cm) diameter.
