A George II silver sugar caster
A George II silver sugar caster,
by Charles Alchorne, London 1737,
circular bellied form, the pull-off cover with pierced decoration and with a knop finial, engraved with a crest, on a raised circular foot, height 18.5cm, approx. weight 7.9oz.
The crest is that of Blunt, of Hampshire, created Baronet in 1720.
