maker's mark worn, London 1812,

circular bellied form, part fluted decoration, shell-capped scroll handle with ivory insulators, the hinged cover with fluted decoration, engraved with a crest, on a raised circular foot, length handle to spout 24cm, approx. weight 21.6oz.

The Crest is that of Tarleton of Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire.
