A Charles II silver porringer

A Charles II silver porringer,

maker's mark TR below a crescent, possibly for Thomas Rutter, London 1681,

circular form, embossed with acanthus leaf decoration, scroll handles, the centre with an armorial within plume mantling, the underside scratch initialled 'WS' over 'RS', height 10.5cm, approx. weight 10.5oz.

The shield is that of Charles of Tavistock, Devon.
