A George I silver kitchen pepper pot,
by Glover Johnson, London date letter worn, circa 1718,
octagonal tapering form, fluted scroll handle, pull-off pierced cover with a knop finial, on a raised spread octagonal foot, the underside prick-dot initialled 'M.B' over 'A.W', also with a later crest, height 8.8cm, approx. weight 2.2oz.
