rectangular form, the hinged cover with a scene of three horses in a landscape setting, foliate scroll border, reeded sides, engine-turned base, plain thumb-piece, gilded interior, the inside cover inscribed 'Presented by George Meggeson to his esteemed friend John Raines', length 9.5cm, approx. weight 7.2oz.
