A Charles I silver Apostle spoon, St. Jude,

probably by Thomas Paulson, London 1637,

fig-shaped bowl, slightly tapering faceted stem, gilded apostle finial, the nimbus with a dove, the reverse of the bowl with prick-dot initials, 'G.Y', length 18.3cm, approx. weight 1.9oz.

Provenance: purchased from J.H. Bourdon-Smith Ltd, Mason's Yard, St. James's, 14 March 2004.
