A George I Britannia standard silver-gilt cup and cover, by David Willaume, London 1715, inverted bell form, with a central and lower girdle, leaf capped scroll handles, domed pull-off cover with a knop finial, later engraved armorial and crest, and later gilded, height 31.5cm, approx. weight 80oz. Provenance: purchased from Christie's King Street, Fine Silver, 24 October 1990, lot 217. The arms are those of Van der Esch of Holland
