A George II silver cup and cover,
by John Le Sage, London 1744,
vase form, bifurcated scroll handles with foliate scroll decoration, the body with a vine leaf and grape girdle, above swirl fluted decoration, the pull-off domed cover with a vine and grape finial, on a raised circular foot, height 41cm, approx. weight 97oz.
