A George II silver kettle on stand,
by Peze Pilleau, London 1752,
inverted baluster form, chased foliate scroll and rocaille decoration on a matted background, wicker bound swing carrying handle, engraved with an armorial, the spout formed as an eagle's head, the stand of circular form, of three caryatid scroll legs terminating in web feet, with a later unmarked burner, height 39cm, approx. weight 70oz.
The widow's lozenge is possibly that for Dalton quartering Bright of Badsworth, Yorkshire.
