By Asprey, an 18 carat gold pocket watch, with import marks for London 1919, importer's mark of Arthur Bowe, the dial signed Asprey, circular form, the reverse engraved with the crest of Abercromby, the inside inscribed 'June 12th 1923', diameter 4.3cm. Diamond Evelyn Violet Hardinge, born 8th June 1900, only daughter of Lord Hardinge of Penshurst, Viceroy of India 1910-1916, married Captain Robert Alexander Abercromby . M.C, at the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, on the 12th June 1923.
