A George II silver coffee pot for the Scottish market,

by Thomas Whipham, London 1747, also marked for Ker and Dempster, Edinburgh 1747, Assay Master Hugh Gordon,

tapering circular form, embossed foliate scroll decoration, with a crested cartouche, the hinged cover with a cone finial, wooden scroll handle, on a circular foot, height 24.5cm, approx. weight 26oz.
