An early 18th century silver mote spoon,

maker's mark only A.S, circa 1730,

the oval bowl pierced with foliate scrolls, length 15.5cm, plus another early 18th century mote spoon, possibly by John Hopkins, the bowl with a plain rat-tail and pierced scroll decoration, and another mote spoon, the oval bowl with plain piercing, maker's mark partially mis-struck, approx. weight 0.7oz. (3)

Provenance: A Private Collection.

One was from Lawrence's Crewkerne, 8 April 2014, one was Stroud Auction Rooms Ltd., and one from Linden and Co., 2013.
