A pair of early 19th century old Sheffield plated entrée dishes and covers on warming bases,
possibly by J. Watson, circa 1830,
rectangular form, the pull-off covers part-fluted and with a shell and gadroon border, lion mask leaf capped scroll handles, the warming stands with similar decoration and with foliate capped handles, on four foliate bracket feet, length handle to handle 37cm, engraved with an armorial shield, plus a matching meat dish cover, of domed oval form, and a large presentation electroplated salver, by The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, circular form, shell, gadroon and scroll border, engraved with the Farquhar crest, the reverse inscribed and dated 1911, diameter 55cm. The arms are that of Farquhar: as borne by Farquhar of Polesden, Baronets from 1796.
