A Victorian silver-gilt mounted travelling dressing table set,
the mounts by Brownett & Rose, London 1860, retailed by Asprey. Manufacturer to Her Majesty. 166 Bond St. W.,
with engraved foliate scroll decoration, with a central initialled cartouche, comprising: four scent bottles, two jars, and four boxes, (two with broken or missing glass), plus various manicure items, including a pair of tweezers an ear cleaner, a file, a penknife, a corkscrew, a button took, and two pairs of scissors, (one later), the interior of the hinged cover with a mirror, the front with a pull-out velvet lined jewellery drawer, in a fitted gilt-metal mounted walnut case with pierced decoration, initialled, length 32cm, approx. weight 8oz.
