A large George IV silver salver,

circular form, with a cast and pierced foliate scroll border, with grapes and with classical male and female masks and with a cherub and lion head, the centre chased with foliate scroll decoration and with a central armorial within foliate scroll mantling, on four shell and foliate capped scroll bracket feet, diameter 49.8cm, approx. weight 148oz.

The arms are that of Thistlethwayte quartering Home/Hume impaling another.
