A rare George IV large silvergilt "memento mori" box, in the form of a coffin decorated with an applied coat of arms and skull and cross bones on the base and applied hinged putti masks and handles around the sides, further decorated with pellets to del???? panels and applied with a crest and the initials "LGN", the cover engine turned, by William Ellerby, London 1820, 5.15in (13cm), 7.2oz.
