A set of six cast three-prong dessert forks, and six matching pistol handled knives, with scimitar blades, in the rococo manner, with scales, husks and scrolls in relief, and asymmetrical terminals, the blades crested, unmarked, probably Regency copies of an 18th century design*, 23oz, (12). *Literature: Maquardt, K: Eight centuries of European knives, forks and spoons, p.p.105, plate 321, for an illustration of the fork and knife in this pattern, where it details them as English, circa 1750.
