A James II West Country, decorated trefid spoon with shaded roundels, pricked "W.C" over "I.S" over "1686", struck once in the bowl and four times on the back of the stem with a 'crown' mark, unascribed, probably Wessex area c.1686, 7.8in (20cm) long, 1.25oz. Provenance: How of Edinburgh Ltd.
