A George II Irish rococo coffee pot, with a large husk cartouch on each side: one engraved with a crest, the other with a coat of arms, the lower body embossed on one side with a hen protecting her chicks from a hawk, and on the other side with water bids, one eating an eel, spreading foot and bud finial, makers mark all but lost in decoration, possibly by William Townsend, Dublin, circa 1755, 10.1in (25.7cm), 32.5oz.
