A rare early Victorian provincial mounted cowrie shell

A rare early Victorian provincial mounted cowrie shell, the cover inscribed with a poem "Tak a Dram" "Sweet as the notes this lyre to thee gives. As softly they glide through the grove on the gale, Thy days all as sweet, even tasting of heaven, Thy chariot of life, be it gently driven, Is the song of the wondering band in the dale, By the Ribblesdale Poet April 1842", further inscribed "R. Barlow", by R. Lowe, Chester, 1841, 2.9in (7.5cm).
