A pair of Charles I silver Apostle spoons, probably St. Matthew and St. Paul,
by Edward Hole, London 1635,
fig-shaped bowls, slightly tapering faceted stems, gilded apostle finials, the nimbus with a dove, the reverse of the bowl with prick-dot initials, 'B' over 'EG', length 18.8cm, approx. weight 4.1oz. (2)
Provenance: Purchased from Tessiers, 26 New Bond Street, London, probably in the 1950's.
