c.1740, modelled as a reclining shepherd, leaning his head on his right hand, his crook lying by his side, the oval base moulded with sprays of flowering prunus, picked out in a Kakiemon palette, with further sprays of flowers painted to either side of the flat base, Paris discharge mark for 1738-44, 7.8cm across.
