c.1740, modelled as a small dog, with long ears and finely detailed fur, turning its head back over its right shoulder, the hinged oval lid painted in the Kakiemon palette, the exterior with a flower spray, the interior with a Chinese figure between flowering branches, discharge mark to the silver mount, 5.5cm across.
