An English enamel snuff box,
c.1770-80, of rounded rectangular form, the cover painted with a panel of a shepherdess and her flock standing beside a winding river, a seated piper beneath a tree to the background, reserved within a dark blue border with raised gilt and white enamel scrolls, the sides with similarly reserved panels of small figures in rural landscapes, length 6cm.
