An 18th century continental silvergilt mounted mother of pearl snuff box, of cartouche outline chased around the sides with flowers and rocaille scrolls on a matt ground, the cover carved with a classical battle scene, the base with a trophy of arms, unmarked, 2nd half of the 18th century, 3.6in (9cm) wide.
