A William IV silver 'castle-top' vinaigrette, Dryburgh Abbey,

by William Phillips, Birmingham 1836,

rectangular form, the hinged cover with a raised view of the Abbey ruins, the interior with a pierced and engraved foliate scroll grille, foliate scroll borders, the sides and base with engine-turned decoration, the base with a vacant cartouche, length 5cm, approx. weight 1.9oz.
