maker's mark T.E, possible for Thomas Edwards or T. Eley, London 1830,

rectangular form, the hinged cover with a hunting scene, with riders and hounds chasing a fox, reeded sides and base, length 7.8cm, approx. weight 3.7oz.

Provenance: Christie's South Kensington, 5th October 2004, lot 177.
