A George III Scottish silver wax jack,

maker's mark worn, Edinburgh 1798,

lyre form, on a raised circular base with a scroll handle and plain thumb-piece, engraved with a crest and motto, with a later conical snuffer, height 14cm, approx. weight 5.3oz.

The unicorn head is that of Cunningham of Scotland.
