An 18th century Irish silver-mounted coconut cup
An 18th century Irish silver-mounted coconut cup,
make's mark only J.L, for John Laughlin, Dublin circa 1790,
the plain mount with a wavy-edge border, the nut body with carved decoration, with an applied oval cartouche, engraved with a crowned B, on a raised circular foot, height 18.2cm.
The insignia is that of the Barons Blayney, of Monaghan.
