A pair of George III silver tea caddies,
by Smith and Sharp, London 1762,
rectangular bombé form, embossed foliate scroll decoration, pull-off covers with a cone finial, on four pierced scroll feet, engraved with a crest, in a fitted shagreen case, velvet lined with brass mounts, with a lock and key, on four paw feet, with a silver caddy spoon, height of caddy 13cm, approx. weight 14oz.
Provenance: purchased March 1974.
The crest is that of Gregory.
