A late 19th century Indian silver card case,

unmarked, circa 1880,

rectangular form, heavily chased with a man fallen from an elephant being attacked by a lion, with surrounding trees, on a matted background, the reverse with a scene of a man on horse-back about to throw a spear at a tiger attacking the fallen man, the hinged cover chased with animals, length 10.3cm, approx. weight 4.6oz.
