A Victorian silver engraved 'castle-top' card case, St. George's Church, Brandon Hill, Bristol,

by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1847,

rectangular form, the front with a view of the Church, and inscribed 'How amiable are thy tabernacles O Lord of hosts

' and 'A day in thy courts is better than a thousand', engraved foliate border, the reverse with similar decoration, and engraved with a bible on a cushion, and inscribed 'Feed My Sheep', and 'Lo I am with you alway(sic) even unto the end of the world', and 'A remembrance to my much esteemed and faithful Pastor Rev. R.L. Hopper, 1st January 1848', length 8.3cm, approx. weight 1.5oz.

Provenance: purchased in April 1984 for £145.
