A small collection of four 19th century silver vinaigrettes,
comprising: a George III one by William Ellerby, London 1816, rectangular form, slightly domed hinged cover with engine-turned and engraved decoration, initialled, the sides with similar decoration, the base with foliate motifs, the gilded interior with a pierced and engraved strawberry and leaf grille, length 3.2cm, plus one by Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1818, rectangular form, engraved wriggle-work decoration, length 3.1cm, plus one by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1842, rectangular form, engraved foliate scroll decoration, length 3.3cm, and a small one by Cocks and Bettridge, Birmingham 1809, length 2.1cm, approx. total weight 1.7oz.
