A William IV silver snuff box,
by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1834,
rectangular cushion form, chased foliate scroll decoration, the hinged cover inscribed 'Presented to Mr Alexr. Ross, Boot and Shoe Maker, Ayr, by his workmen as a token of their respect for him as an employer, 13 May 1835', engine-turned base, length 7.8cm, approx. weight 3.9oz.
