rectangular form, chased foliate scroll decoration, the hinged cover inscribed 'Prize Offered by Captain Sir A.C. Gibson Maitland Bart to the best turned out trooper in the Barnton Squadron R.M.L.Y.C while in quarters 1853, and gained by Sergeant John Clapperton', gilded interior, length 9.3cm, approx. weight 5oz.
