rectangular form, chased foliate scroll decoration, the hinged cover inscribed 'Presented to Mr Hugh Mc Gregor, by his brother super-intendants, as a mark of esteem, on his retirement from the North Riding Constabulary, October 17th, 1865', gilded interior, length 8cm, approx. weight 3.6oz.
