A 19th century silver-gilt mounted rock crystal and glass casket,

probably Austrian, marked with a French import mark 1864-1893,

rectangular form, mounted with green cabouchons and enamelled mask and foliate scroll motifs, the panel in the hinged cover engraved with a figure and foliate scroll decoration, the sides with eight smaller panels, one damaged, the base with a replacement glass panel, on eight paw and pad feet with lion mask and enamel wings and figural supports, the interior gilded, length 21.5cm, height 12.8cm.
