Originally the 95th Rifles, in 1816 renamed the 'Rifle Brigade', In 1958, the Regiment became the 3rd Green Jackets and in 1966, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Green Jackets amalgamated to form the Royal Green Jackets.
