A George III Regimental silver Fiddle pattern marrow scoop, the 1st or West Essex Militia,
by Eley, Fearn and Chawner, London 1810,
the reverse of the bowl with the Regimental badge, length 22.8cm, approx. weight 1.8oz.
Raised on 23 June 1759 at Chelmsford. In 1881 it became the 4th Bn. The Essex Regiment. It was disbanded in 1908.
