A set of six Victorian Regimental silver Old English pattern table forks, The 8th or Royal North Lincoln Militia,

Raised in Lincoln in May 1959. Deployed to Liverpool in 1760 to defend the city in case of French attack. Awarded title of 'Royal', Embodied for the Crimea in 1854 and India in 1857. In 1881 it became the 3rd Bn, the Lincolnshire Regiment. Disbanded in 1953.
