An early 19th century Russian silver snuff box,
Moscow 1816, possibly by Jonas Berstron,
octagonal form, the base chased with arms and a helmet, within a border of foliate decoration, the hinged cover set with a silver-gilt relief of the bust of Alexander I on a plinth with suits of armour to the side, under glass, length 5.8cm, approx. weight 1.9oz.
