A Queen Anne mounted tortoiseshell tobacco box

A Queen Anne mounted tortoiseshell tobacco box , of elongated oval outline with an engraved lappet border, the cover inset with a medallion commemorating the Union of England Scotland, 1st May 1707. The obverse signed "CROKER", for John Croker the reverse signed "S.B" for Samuel Bull (one of the engraves at the Royal Mint), the box unmarked c.1710, 4.75in (12cm).
